NORTH STAR TO BUILD ADDITION
The building of a large addition to the present service station at Aitkin was one of the principal topics of discussion at the annual meeting of the North Star Co-op Oil Association at Aitkin February 5. It is proposed to erect a new grease and wash room, the total cost to be about $3,000.
Sales volume gained $8,492 over 1936 to reach a new high for the association of $42,705. Net income was $4,963, thus permitting a patronage refund.
Patronage refund of 10 percent and leaving a considerable balance for reserves.
Virgil Tarr and Otto Jackman were re-elected to the board. Sam Lilves, the manager, commented on the annual statement and also discussed the question of credit. Board and manager deserve commendation for the progress being made by this association.
