NEWPORT, OCT. 14

On Wednesday last, a new Episcopal Church was consecrated in this town by the Right Rev. Bishop Bass, assisted by the Clergy of his Diocese, by the name of St. Paul's Church. The ceremonies were dignified, solemn, and impressive, and afforded high satisfaction to a large and very respectable audience. We cannot refrain our most sincere congratulations to our friends, of the Episcopal profession on the completion of so neat and commodious a house for public worship, as perhaps the United States at present furnish.

On Thursday the Rev. Theodore Dehon, A.M. Rector of Trinity Church, Newport, was admitted to the Order of Priest by the Right Rev. Bishop Bass.
