It is true that the democrats had not a single vote more, on this election, than they had last year, and it is well known that a single week, has not elapsed this six months past, without their having met to digest some plan to insure their success, by publishing inflammatory libellous pieces against government striving to fill the minds of the people with fear, and endeavouring to rouse them to acts of violence against those that holds the reins of government in their hands.

It is also well known that on the day of election that every kennel, that every dirty Hovel, the habitations of those creatures of filth, was well ransacked, and that vehicles was prepared at the place of general rendezvous, to convey them to the election, but federalism in Chester County, will ever be prevalent, it will ever triumph, as a majority of the people are sober, wise, and discreet, and are guided by sober reason, and as long as the administration continues to be pure, and uncorrupted so long, and no longer will that County continue to be one of its props, on the day of the election the federalists were too sure of success, by that reason a great number of them staid at home, and unfortunately on the same day, two respectable federals, one who was in nomination to fill one of the offices of the County interred, at whose funeral, a large concourse of federalists attended, but this election will be a voice of warning to the federalists, it will put them upon their guard, and induce them to turn out on another day.
