Full Text

Some of our Baptist Brethren and the Sons of Temperance.-We are indebted to our neighbor of the Baptist Herald, for an extract from one of their Associations, called "the Mountain District," in which they say-

"We as advisory counsel, recommend to the churches, to exclude from their fellowship any member or members who join any Division or Order of the Sons of Temperance."

In justice to the Association however, we ought to add that they profess to observe temperance in the strictest sense, and recommend it to all men, and especially to the followers of Christ.

Query.-What is there in the Order of the Sons of Temperance, to render its members unworthy of Christian Communion? Not being in the secret we cannot say. But we have always had a better opinion of the Order than this action would indicate.
