MEETING.

Accepted
and Other Business Transacted.
The Board of Directors of the
Young Men's Christian Association
held an important business meeting
at the Institute last night which
was attended by the entire member-
ship of the Board and much busi-
ness transacted. A number of ap-
plications for membership were
acted upon and fifty-one accessions
made to the Association, as follows:
Active members 13; associate mem-
bers, 25; junior members, 13.
The General Secretary submitted
his annual report, showing the As-
sociation to be in an active and
healthy condition. Said report will
be published in the Graphic within
a few days.
On motion Messrs. Fred Fox, J.
W. Crawford and G. E. Valliant
were appointed a committee to con-
sult with the trustees of the Insti-
tute in regard to certain desired im-
provements in the gymnasium room.
A committee of three, consisting
of Messrs. V. O. Alexander, G. N.
Hart and J. W. Adams, was ap-
pointed to audit the books of the
Treasurer.
An executive committee was then
appointed, as follows: J. W. Craw-
ford, H. C. Fox, V. O. Alexander,
G. N. Hart and Fred Fox.
A finance committee, consisting
of Fred Fox, chairman; G. N. Hart,
E. C. Laine and V. O. Alexander,
was also appointed, and the commit-
tee instructed to canvass the city
for subscriptions to the support of
the Association at once.
Upon motion the Secretary was
instructed to present an invitation
to the State Committee to hold the
next annual meeting of the State
Association in Pine Bluff.
