The people here took no part in the movement, and the city is quiet and peaceful. The King is expected here soon.
PARIS. June 25. The French newspaper "L-Matin" says that the revolt in Siam was caused by sweeping economy measures put in effect last week by King Prajadhipok which necessitated his dismissal along with other numerous functionaries and officers in the army.
