Tobacco Market Will Remain Open All of Next Week

Sales on the Henderson tobacco market will continue through Friday of next week, February 23, and the market will not close the season this coming Friday, February 16, it was decided today by the Henderson Tobacco Board of Trade. It was made clear that every facility will be provided for growers who have tobacco to sell to dispose of it in the usual manner in the local warehouses.

Very little more tobacco remains to be handled, however. Monday's sale was the smallest for any Monday of the season, and was estimated to have been around 50,000 pounds. No official report of sales was made today.
