Full Text
Some digger into ancient history is responsible for the statement that there was no summer season in 1816; that the summer months were given over to frequent storms and crops were practically a failure, and that history repeats itself every hundred years. The weather we have had so far would lead the pessimistically inclined to believe this statement but we are from Missouri and will have to be "shown." We predict that after July fourth we will get all the summer we want and may even wish occasionally for a little spring weather to break the monotony.
