The Population of the Village.

The population of this village, comprising School Districts Nos. 2, 18, 19 and 20, on the 1st of February, 1864, according to the census just taken by Mr. B. F. Wilkins, is 3,654. This does not include any who are absent in the army. The number in each School District is as follows:

The births and deaths occurring in 1863, were as follows:

Of the births 70 were males and 63 females.

Among the deaths, the three who attained the greatest age were Mrs. Daniels, 91; Mrs. Mitchell, 83, and Mr. Asa Howard, 81.
