Judge Cutting.
Judge Cutting has presided during the present session of the Supreme Judicial Court, in this place, and we feel warranted in saying, that in administering justice from the Bench, he has given entire satisfaction to all parties concerned. Judge Cutting has a fine legal mind, matured by a long and successful practice at the bar, prior to coming to the Bench; while he has since been eminently successful in his opinions and in the administration of justice at nisi prius.
Judge C. in disposing of business in court, is kind and courteous to all, patient in listening to the examination of witnesses and arguments of counsel, prompt and clear in deciding those questions of law which incidentally arise in the trial of causes, and clear and impartial in charging Juries.
Judge Cutting is eminently a practical man, and his excellent suggestions to Attorneys and their clients in reference to the disposition of their matters in Court, operates to clear the docket of many cases, without the expenses of a trial.
In paying this brief tribute of respect to Judge Cutting, we but reiterate the often expressed opinions of the people of this county interested in the wholesome administration of justice.
