The Harmonettes, a choral group in West Jefferson which is under the direction of Mrs. James Arganbright, gave a half-hour musical program on Thursday evening, October 24, for the Plain City Lions Club, who gave a dinner in honor of ladies night. Included in the program were "By the Bend of the River," "Holiday For Strings," "Autumn Leaves," "September Song" and from the Broadway musical "Oklahoma" were "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" and "Oklahoma." Mrs. Gerald Poulson is accompanist for the group.
The Harmonettes will be appearing at the Madison County teachers' meeting to be held in the West Jefferson High School auditorium on November 15. They are also scheduled to sing for the West Jefferson P.T.O. on Monday evening, November 25.
New members who have joined this choral group are Mrs. John Wolfe, Mrs. Marshall Gibboney,
