Mrs. Edward H. Burt was elected president of Putnam Cosmos Club last week at its annual meeting, succeeding Mrs. Edgar T. Phaneuf. The club, now starting its 17th year of successful functioning, has for its main object the furnishing of milk to under-nourished children. Associated officers elected are: Vice-president, Mrs. John H. Flaherty; secretary, Mrs. Samuel Rodensky; treasurer, Mrs. Bernard J. Sandys; investigating committee, Mrs. Edgar T. Phaneuf and Mrs. Clyde Phaneuf; chairman for sick calls, Mrs. James W. Frost; publicity, Mrs. John E. McCormac.
Mrs. Archibald Macdonald won the gift of the month award at the last meeting, which was provided by Mrs. Samuel Rodensky, who will also entertain members at her Wilkinson street home on Jan. 3. Following the regular meeting Tuesday delicious refreshments were served.
