BOSTON, June 5.

How extremely absurd and ridiculous, says a correspondent who has read the paragraphs in a Monday's paper respecting some particular gentlemen, must that person appear, who can suppose, that the government, liberty and happiness of the United States, established in despite of the whole power of Britain, and all her adherents, now stood on so slender a foundation as to be in danger from the residence among us of any, or all of Britain's quondam American friends—or that a system of politicks suited to our colonial situation in 1774, can be applicable to our present independent state.
