They write from Paris the 31st Inst. that a Person has been brought up out of the Country from the Neighbourhood of Clermont in Auvergne, upon an Appeal from the Prévôt's Sentence of that Town, who condemned him to be broke alive on the Wheel, for eating one of his Children, of Ten Years of Age; the Head was put into a Porridge Pot and boiled, and the Body on the Spit and roasted: This strange Monster was impeached by his Wife and Daughter, and on their Evidence condemned. The Prisoner was put into the Prison of the Conciergerie 'till the Appeal is adjudged.
