Representatives to Congress chosen.
Last week His Excellency the Governor and the Hon. Council met at Exeter for the purpose of sorting and counting the votes for Representatives to Congress,—on sorting and counting the same it appeared the following gentlemen were chosen by a very large majority to take their seats in March next,
Hon. Abiel Foster,
Samuel Tenney,
Joseph Pierce and
George B. Upham, Esquires.
In place of Mr. Gordon, resigned, to take his seat in the next Congress, no one is chosen, the two highest candidates to be sent out to the people are Hon. Samuel Tenney, Esq. and George B. Upham, Esq.
