The General Court met yesterday, nine judges being present. The question of the three seamen, committed to jail by the warrant of a State Magistrate under an Act of the Congress of the United States, is expected to come on this day. The case of the Commonwealth against John Preston and his Securities will also come on during this term. At the present term, too, the Judges may proceed, in compliance with a resolution of the last General Assembly, to prepare a Report upon such changes as they may deem most expedient to be made in our criminal code. This Report of course, is to be laid before the Legislature.
