OMAHA, June 24.—The dispatch of Wednesday announcing the revocation by Mgr. Satolli of the order of Bishop Bonacum, dispensing with the services of Father Fitzgerald, of South Auburn, and Father Murphy, of Tecumseh, is confirmed by the bishop. In a letter to these clergymen dated June 15 Bishop Bonacum recalls the order, but supplements it with another invalidating the priestly functions at noon July 15 unless they comply with certain conditions of a financial nature. Should they refuse compliance with the conditions imposed, the bishop says that he will take proper steps to remove them. The priests replied to the letter by demanding a retraction within five days, otherwise they will institute action against Bishop Bonacum in the papal court at Washington. An important point in the letter of the bishop is a reference to the propaganda, which indicates his purpose of ignoring the apostolic court.
