The Motion of the Turkish Troops, to the Amount of 60,000, under the Command of Count Bonneval in Imperial Servia, has had no extraordinary Consequences; his so speedily returning, and making such little Advantages by this Expedition, from which so much was expected, makes it believed that this Conduct foretels an approaching Suspension of Arms between the Emperor and the Porte : However, 'til this Opinion is confirm'd, there frequently happens Actions on the Confines of Transylvania and Imperial Walachia.
The Baron de Hayenbach, who possesses the Post of Caracal, has defeated a Detachment of 15,000 Turks that designed to drive him from that Post.
The Council of War has sent Orders to arrest Colonel Salhausen, who is said to have been the Cause of the Disadvantage that the Imperials lately suffer'd at Krojova; having abandon'd that Post, and left 400 Men to be massacred by the Turks.
The Commission established to examine into the Affair of Count Seckendorff will speedily be opened ; but 'tis said that nothing will be determined in Relation to that General 'til the Sentiments of the Generals who serv'd under him in Hungary be known.
