Patriotism! No Draught!--On the 8th inst. the militia of this city were called out to furnish their contingent minute men for the United States service. Captain Carroll's uniformed company had previously volunteered their services. And captain Matthews, of the line, proceeding to draw the quota from his company, the patriotism of the citizens rejected the idea of a draught --Mr. George Jenkins set the example, and was followed by so many of his fellow soldiers, that the compliment was more than made up, and the only lot to be drawn was, who should not be enrolled. In Capt. Dunning's company we understand 3 or 5 only were draughted. From Capt. Ten Broeck's we have not heard.--On the artillery of this city we do not learn that any requisition has been made.
