Widow Of Slain
Pastor Files Suit
For $101,000

NEW ORLEANS - (ANP) - The
widow of a 29-year-old pastor
has filed a $101,000 suit against
one of New Orleans' oldest active
ministers for the fatal shooting of
her husband here last week.
Three days after 77-year-old
Rev. Alfred Charles Moore
had shot Rev. Roosevelt Williams
to death, Mrs. Marian Williams, widow
of the slain minister, filed
suit in Civil District Court asking
for damages totaling $101,000 from
the Rev. Moore.
Charges against Rev. Moore were
cleared this week. Police and the
district attorney's office classified
the slaying as self-defense following
an extensive investigation.
