It is with infinite satisfaction we inform our Readers, that yesterday the Federal Interest of New-Jersey obtained a complete triumph over the anti-federal junto.

Notwithstanding the attempts which were made by the latter to oust, Governor Howell, he was re-elected Governor by an almost unanimous vote—there being only one in the opposition.

Jonathan Dayton was elected Senator of the United States in the place of Mr. Stockton, who declined being considered a Candidate. His opponent was Dr. Elmer, a Federalist also.
