On the Night of Sunday, the 20th of August, several Citizens of Paris appeared at the Bar of the National Assembly, and requested to be formed into a Legion, destined to cut off General La Fayette's Head, and to lay it reeking before that Assembly. Another Citizen appeared alone at the Bar, and offered to go to Sedan, by himself, and be Bearer of the Articles of Impeachment against General La Fayette; he engaged to execute the Decree, and drag La Fayette, dead or alive, to the Bar of the National Assembly--The Energy of these Petitioners was applauded, and their Petitions referred to the Committee of general Safety.
