A meeting of the Executive Council was held yesterday morning. Those present were Governor Dole, Treasurer Wright, Attorney General Dole and Land Commissioner Boyd. The Superintendent of Public Works, J. H. Boyd, did not attend, business calling him away.
A decision by the governor was to grant the Paint and Wall Paper Company permission to change its name.
The treasurer was given authority to grant Gomes & McTighe of King street the renewal of a liquor dealer's license.
The Commissioner of Lands received authority to grant the Nahiku Sugar Company permission to assign its water license to the Hana Sugar Company, stipulating the insertion of the "forestry clause".
