Extract of a letter from Annapolis, dated December 24. "An elegant dinner was ordered on the 22d by Congress. The Governor, Senate, and House of Delegates, with sundry of the citizens, in all (including Congress) about 200, attended, and partook of the feast; after which the following Toasts were drank, under a discharge of 13 cannon, viz.

1. The United States:
2. The Army.
3. His Most Christian Majesty.
4. The United Netherlands:
5. The King of Sweden.
6. Our Commissioners abroad.
7. The Minister of France.
8. The Minister of the United Netherlands.
9. Harmony, and a flourishing Commerce, throughout the Union.
10. May Virtue and Wisdom influence the Councils of the United States: and may their Conduct merit the Blessings of Peace and Independence.
11. The virtuous Daughters of America.
12. The Governor & State of Maryland.
13. Long Health and Happiness to our illustrious General.

General Toast. Competent Powers to Congress for general Purposes. This toast was given by General Washington, at the conclusion." Governor Paca invited the company to a ball, in the evening, at the State house. The farewell of the General was a most solemn scene.
