A fine of $1,000 for soliciting for prostitution (suspended only on condition she remains out of the city for life) was handed Virginia "Vivian" Ransom, 25, who listed her address as 525 S. Broadway St. Municipal Judge Paul Sherer made it clear that her record and past conduct in prostitution and other offenses left him with no other alternative but to ban her from this city. According to the charge, she solicited to two officers of the vice squad on June 6. Miss Ransom was released on bond and while waiting her trial was arrested July 14 for another attempt to solicit—another vice squad officer.
