Sacramento, Cal., Jan. 31.—The senate and assembly adopted resolutions of respect in honor of the memory of the late Senator Boggs.
The senate elected about forty clerks and other attaches under the provisions of the Cutter bill.
The usual number of petitions for a Sunday law were received.
The assembly passed the bill amending the law regarding taxation to tax the stock of national banks.
There was no change in the vote for United States senator.
