UTRECHT, July 15. We have received from Constantinople the following detail of the success of the Ottoman arms, dated June 9th, "Dagetangi Ali Pacha being informed that a body of Russians had passed the Danube two leagues above Giurgewo, in twenty-one large barques, the Pacha, who had marched with the greatest expedition, fell suddenly upon the Russians, and entirely dispersed them, who took to their barques, after having great numbers killed, and leaving 600 prisoners, among whom is a brother of Prince Repnin. Of the above barques 16 were afterwards taken by some Turkish barques from Russia, and ten others were driven on shore, or very roughly handled. It is added that the Turkish artillery did great execution among the Russians, who were drawn up in order to cover the retreat of the above body. The Grand Vizir has caused a quantity of aigrettes and an hundred purses to be distributed among his troops in the above expedition."
