SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 1951

Rev. D. D. Mundy Heads Baptist Alliance

The Rev. D. D. Mundy, pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, was elected president of the Baptist Alliance. Rev. Mundy was born in Madison County, Kentucky. He was licensed to preach in 1933 by his brother, the late Rev. J. L. Mundy, former pastor of Mt. Enon Baptist Church, under whom he served as assistant pastor.

Rev. D. D. Mundy is doing a splendid job at Mt. Calvary where he is entering his 11th year as pastor. During this time he has increased the membership from 38 to six hundred; and has remodeled the church at an approximate cost of $12,000. He is also founder and president of the Baptist Fellowship Union, which is rendering a great service.

The week ending March 10 will be Dayton's NEGRO ACHIEVEMENT WEEK, SPONSORED by The CITIZEN.
