Full Text
The Chillicothe (Ohio) Advertiser is out for Hon. George H. Pendleton for Governor of that State. It says: "Undoubtedly the strongest man in the Democratic party in the State of Ohio, should be its candidate in the approaching Gubernatorial contest! There is no question as to who that strongest man is. Every schoolboy in the State would answer, 'the Young Eagle of the West,' George H. Pendleton. The position could not add laurels to Pendleton, but Pendleton would reflect honor upon the position. And he should accept. He owes much to the Democracy of the State, and when they call him to carry their banner, he should accept it with alacrity and cheerfulness. Let us have Pendleton, and the Radical majority will dissolve like the fabric of a dream."
