PATTANGALL RAPS BAXTER IN ADDRESS AT WISCASSET MEET
Wiscasset, Me. Aug. 21-(Special.) -Ex-Attorney General William R. Pattangall of Augusta, at a meeting of Democratic men and women of Lincoln county held here today, declared that eight years of Milliken and Baxter was enough, and it was a splendid thing for our State when Governor Milliken deserted politics for the moving pictures, and it will be a greater gain when Governor Baxter finally retires to private life and devotes his entire energy to raising dogs.

More than 100 women from all over the State were here today, at the old Tucker mansion, observing the field day of the Lincoln County Women's Democratic Club. They came from Gardiner, Augusta, Waterville, Dover-Foxcroft and even as far away as Bangor, to make the day the opening wedge of the coming fall campaign.

During the morning a trio of interesting speeches were made, the first speaker being Mrs. Oakley C. Curtis of Portland, whose theme was the necessity for women to know the political history of their own towns and to make themselves familiar with political
