TEXAS, Sept. 30th, 1880,
MR. EDITOR:—Peace prevails in this section. Rev. R. M. Moore was called to the house of Mr. John J. Wills, last Sunday, to join in matrimony Mr. Wotring and Miss Shuttlesworth. After marriage they started for their home near Aurora.
It has been said that Rev. Mr. Moore charges five dollars as a marriage fee. This is not the case. He never makes a charge.
Rev. W. Y. Cline commences a protracted meeting at the Red House on the 3d of October.
The way some Christians act we would suppose there were walls and partitions in heaven, and we all wanted the best place, and were afraid of being excluded by others.
Miss Media Roth has returned from visiting friends and relatives at Cranberry and Aurora.
Miss Minerva Hollen is visiting relatives in Harrison county.
Pace tua.
