According to figures released yesterday by Director John P. Whitaker, registration has reached 766, with 304 enrolled for graduate work and 462 for undergraduate courses.
At the opening assembly of the Summer School on Tuesday, the speaker was Mr. Kendall Weisiger, general information manager of the Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company.
At the assembly on Thursday, the speakers were President W. R. Banks of Prairie View State College and Mr. Rufus E. Clement of Atlanta University.
during the coming week are Prof. Clarence A. Bacote of Atlanta University, who will discuss the topic "The Negro and the Ballot" at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, in Sisters Chapel, Spelman College.
On Thursday, at the same time and place, Dr. Ira De A. Reid of Atlanta University will speak on "The World Of Race and Color."
The Summer Forum Series will open on Thursday evening, June 22, at 7:30 o'clock in the Exhibition Room of the University Library.
The first speaker in the series will be Mr. Frank McCallister, executive assistant to CIO members on the National War Labor Board. His subject for discussion will be "Race Labor, and Political Action."
