ELECTRIC CO. WILL EXTEND BUS SERVICE

S. W. Henningfeld, general superintendent, Wisconsin Motor Bus lines, announces that, due to the delivery of equipment, the Grand Ave.-Prospect Ave. bus service will be extended to the northwest section of the city.

It is planned to operate this service as follows: From 35th St. and Grand Ave., certain designated buses will turn north on 35th St. to Highland Blvd., then northwest along the boulevard to Vliet St., where the route will split, a part going west on Vliet St. to 47th St., north on 47th to Washington Blvd., and west on Washington Blvd. to the city limits. Hawley Rd.

Returning these buses will follow Washington Blvd. to 48th St., then south along 48th to Vliet, west on Vliet to Highland Blvd., southeast on Highland Blvd. to 33rd St., south on 33rd and 32nd to Grand Ave. and then along the present route.

The second portion of the route from the junction, Vliet St. and Highland Blvd., will be east on Vliet St. to 40th, then north on 40th to Lisbon Ave., northward along Lisbon Ave. to Sherman Blvd. to Center St. Returning they will follow the same route.

When and if the park board will permit, buses will be operated through Washington park.

The extension of the Grand Ave.-Prospect Ave. service is being made pursuant to the company's previous statements that it would supply bus transportation service to such parts of the city of Milwaukee where an apparent demand exists.

It is expected that the extended service will begin about June 1.
