Full Text

Bob Morrow.

Bob Morrow used to be one of the most envied and prominent men in San Francisco. He had great wealth and high social position, and his money made him almost omnipotent. He is now shunned and despised by his old associates because his true character has been exposed, and no one likes to hobnob with a man over whose career the shadow of San Quentin is beginning to creep. The jury bribing scandal is coming to the surface, and Morrow, who has long had a supreme contempt for everything and everybody, is beginning to sweat blood. A poor widow was suing for the death of her husband, who died from injuries received on Morrow's railroad. The jury was bribed to defeat the ends of justice and rob the widow of her due. The jury fixers say that Morrow was behind the scenes furnishing the money to fix the jury.

A millionaire committing felony to beat a poor woman in a law suit! Such a rascal should be scourged from the face of the earth.
