Hurt In Wreck
Two women were sent to the Monroe General Hospital for treatment and observation following a three-vehicle crash at Fogarty and First Sts., yesterday afternoon.
Remaining in the hospital with her condition listed as satisfactory is Mrs. Elizabeth Richardson, 37, 1404 Newton Street.
Treated and released from the hospital was Miss Lucille Richardson, 50, 1901 Seidenberg Ave.
According to a report filed at police headquarters by Patrolman W. Bethel, who investigated the accident, a truck driven by Wade Cameron Jones, 50, 3325 Harriet Ave., failed to exercise proper caution in entering the intersection causing a three-vehicle pile-up.
The autos involved in the crash were driven by John H. Richardson, 41, 1404 Newton St., and Robert Sawyer, 21, 1425 United St.
Police estimated the damage to the truck at $150; to the Richardson auto at $550, and to the Sawyer auto, $450.
Jones was charged with failing to yield the right of way and causing an accident.
