A special term of district court for the twelfth judicial district of Montana has been called by C. B. Elwell of Havre, judge for the district court, and will start next Monday morning, June 1, at the Blaine county court house in Chinook.
Five cases have been called for the term, two criminal cases, and three civil actions. A jury panel of 60 names has been drawn but since all receipts from jurors have not been received, a list of the panel names may not yet be released.
First case on the docket scheduled for Monday morning, June 1, will be the state of Montana versus George A. McIntyre, in a murder case. McIntyre is charged with first degree murder in connection with the deaths of Joseph Benski and Harry Salazar, both of Butte, near Harlem early in April of 1952.
Counsel for McIntyre will be John D. Gillan of Havre, while Bernard W. Thomas, Blaine county attorney, will handle the prosecution.
The other criminal case called for the special term, with attorneys is: June 4 - The state of Montana (B. W. Thomas), versus William T. Ried (J. L. Angstman), rape.
Civil actions called, with attorneys: June 6 - F. W. Taylor (Burns and Thomas) versus Charles A. Holman (J. L. Angstman), money judgment suit.
