Arrival of the Ship Centurion--The Coolie Trade Denounced, &c., &c.
San Francisco, July 19.—The ship Centurion, from Hong Kong, June 3d, has arrived.
The Prince King addressed a dispatch to the Foreign Ministers, complaining that certain Europeans prohibit the supplying of insurgents with arms, and requests the Consuls to issue passports to persons of doubtful character.
Hong Kong papers denounce the Coolie trade as practiced by the Portuguese. Macao states that the personal punishment inflicted on Chinamen is to refuse a ship to induce a change in the determination of the Government. There are instances of kidnapping girls and women, who are carried to Macao for purposes of prostitution.
