Court Decides In Favor of Actress

By United Press Leased Wire

LOS ANGELES, April 25. Another effort of Charles Duell, president of Inspiration Pictures, to collect asserted breach of contract damages from Lillian Gish, the film star, has ended in failure.

On the ground that the matter already had been settled in New York courts Superior Judge McComb late yesterday ordered a jury to find for the screen player in the $5,000,000 suit against her.

Duell charged that Miss Gish conspired with Metro Goldwyn Mayer and others to avoid an agreement with him.

Following the verdict, Miss Gish announced she would leave Hollywood for Germany in a few days. While in Europe she will consider her next screen story, she said.
