A beautiful statue of Gen. Hamilton carved out of Italian marble by Ball Hughes, Esq. has been placed on a blue granite pedestal 14 feet high in the Merchants' Exchange at New-York. It holds a scroll representing his report on the national debt in the right hand, with the left hand by his side, right foot slightly in advance, and features drapery, dress, symmetry, dignified mien, and noble expression.
