STEEL NEARING NENANA CROSSING

The end of steel, yesterday evening had reached station No.17957, which is nearly a mile beyond Moose creek siding; 2200 feet of track having been laid by the men of the steel gang under the supervision of Foreman Thomas K. Blakey, for the day.

The very mild weather now being experienced has greatly assisted in the construction operations on the line, and if the weather continues the same, it is predicted that Nenana Crossing (43-mile) will be reached by next Sunday.

There only remains a distance of about four miles more to be covered by the steel before the crossing is reached, and the rate of progress being made would more than warrant the prediction.
