McGuire's School (Gamble's Hill), 309 South Third Street.

The twelfth session of this school closed yesterday. The law of the school provides that every boy who does his duty shall receive such recognition as his success may warrant. Accordingly, the following distribution was made:

Note.—The principals think it right to express their gratification at the general character of the school for good conduct and hard study, and at the excellent spirit displayed from the beginning to the close of the session. They are especially pleased that the influence of the system of honors was almost universal, that so many boys were stimulated to reach the highest divisions, and that among them are names of all classes, the youngest as well as the oldest.
