St. Patrick's Day
The latest USO shows production for the Alaskan Command left Hollywood's balmy climate on Feb. 11 to begin a frigid 7-week tour of American military bases in the Far North.
Promising to live up to its title —"Cavalcade of Entertainment" -the music-comedy revue stars Tony Romano, featured as a singer on the Bob Hope Christmas show last year. Tony, well-known on the U. S. night club circuit and a veteran of motion pictures. accompanies himself on guitar.
Comedy highlights in the show are dealt up by Harry and Louise Clayton, a novelty act involving audience participation which has appeared in top night spots across the country.
The show also features Jan Weaver, Thelma Wood and Aura Cameron, a trio of dancers joining the show direct from engagements in Las Vegas. Aura. who claims kinship to George Washington, assists Tony in the vocal department.
Musical background is provided by Eddie Swan, drummer and Johnny Norkus, on piano and accordion.
The show will be here Friday, St. Patrick's Day at the school gym. It will be open to the public, except for children under 12.
