Full Text

The V.B. papers have been rubbing noses and knocking heads together for some months about a State Convention, until finally there seems to be now & then a symptom of serious warfare. The Mid. Argus threatens to chuck the Patriot under the fifth rib. Pahaw! "Let dogs delight to bark and bite,"— you know the rest. Now, gentlemen, kiss and make up: a family quarrel would horrify the "democracy," and entirely unnerve them for the drubbing which our side will give them in September—with a convention, or without it.
