Dewayne Perry One of Four Best
EMMET—Miss Helen Martens, teacher of school district 20, held a Hallowe'en party for all of her pupils and their parents.
Each child came dressed in a costume.
The parents voted on the best and the funniest ones. Those receiving the most votes won first prize. There were four first prizes winners: Linda Serck and Kathleen Grothe were dressed as hula-hula dancers; Billie Jean Perry was dressed as an angel, and Dewayne Perry was dressed as a baby including diaper, bonnet, nipple, bottle and powder can.
The children hunted for peanuts and bobbed for apples. The teacher served a lunch of sandwiches, jello, cookies, popcorn balls and candy.
Some of the children went out for tricks or treats.
