Christmas Decorations
And Book Given Library

Readers who come to the library these days to select holiday reading, and even the Christmas shopper hurrying by, pause to admire the beauty of its holiday dress. The Greek columns are festooned with ropes of hemlock. The library is indebted to Mrs. R. G. S. Davis for these beautiful and appropriate decorations.

Another gift to the library especially fitting at the Christmas season is "The Romance of Leonardo da Vinci" by Dmitri Merejkowski, translated from the Russian by Bernard G. Gulbert Guerney and illustrated with colored reproductions of many of the artist's works. This handsome volume is the gift of Mrs. John Summers, of Johnson City, Tennessee, in memory of the late Mrs. Algernon Caulincourt Zollicoffer. It contains fine reproductions of "The Annunciation" and "The Adoration of the Magi", and some of the famous painter's most beautiful madonnas.
