Saturday, February 13th, the Audubon County branch of the Corn Belt Meat Producers Association met at the court house and perfected their organization. The following officers were elected: President, Ed Johnson; secretary, S. M. Gardner; treasurer, Wm. Neff; directors, C. H. Sampson, John McGuire, James Law, Ed Finch and George Gill.
A soliciting committee of one member from each township was appointed to secure names. The membership fee was fixed at $1.00 and sixteen members were enrolled.
S. M. Gardner and Wm. Neff were elected to go to Des Moines to work in the interest of the DeLano bill.
