Jackie Trade Rumor Revived

ST. LOUIS, May 18—A very quiet rumor being reported by the Sporting News, baseball's "bible" is that Jackie Robinson is up for trade from the Brooklyn Dodgers to the Pittsburgh Pirates and his old boss—Branch Rickey, who brought him into organized baseball.

It is said that Jackie will be traded for slugging Ralph Kiner, National League home run king who is not the type of player Rickey likes.

Brooklyn bosses, however, are not so sure how the fans would take the loss of Jackie despite the fact that he may not be as great a player as he once was.
