SOLDIER BOYS BROUGHT DEMENTED SOLDIER TO FULTON SUNDAY

R. W. Beaumen and C. F. Garttan of Columbus Barracks, Columbus, O., came through here on their way to Fulton Sunday afternoon with a patient, Private L. Y. Zamanski, an overseas soldier whom they were taking to the State Hospital.

Zamanski, who is a Russian Jew, was drafted at Kansas City and was harmless except that he had hallucinations regarding a certain negro man whom he thought was after him all the time. It is reported that he broke many of the window lights in the base hospital at Columbus.

The party did not know that the South Branch afternoon train did not run on Sunday and they were at a loss to know what to do until the local Red Cross society hired a car and drove them to Fulton. The boys were deeply appreciative of this kindness and so expressed themselves.
