We hear from Connecticut, that his Excellency Governor Fitch has issued a Brief throughout that Colony, recommending it to all, to express their Christian benevolence, on occasion of the late Great Fire in this town, by contributing to the relief of those distressed objects of their charity; in consequence of which, last Sunday se'nnight, the sum of Thirty five Pounds was collected.

Collected at the Rev. Mr. Byles's congregation in New London, and Seventeen Pounds, Lawful Money, at the Rev. Mr. Graves's Church at the same place, for that truly charitable purpose.
