PORTSMOUTH, Octo. 31.

Last Friday arrived here Capt. Mountford, in a Snow from Antigua, who on his Passage spoke a Schooner, one Cogwell, Master, belonging to Newbury, all well on board, the Master of which informed him, that the 18th of last Month, they had a violent Gale of Wind at St. Eustatia, which forced him to Sea, but was then beating up for the Port again: He had been out five Days.

Capt. Martin, in a Brig from this Place, was forced out of St. Kitts in a Gale of Wind, some Time last Month, but had arrived again, before Captain Mountford sailed.
